The Chica Pelega Film Festival opened its run through Videira with a special Children’s Week, on October 8 and 9, 2024, at the Cinema Room of the Euclides da Cunha Municipal Library.
These were sessions designed for children from the municipal and state school systems, with shorts such as Geração Alpha, São Sebastião and Garoto Barba — stories that delighted hundreds of students in the very first days.
The initiative is part of the Festival’s commitment to audience building and audiovisual education, bringing cinema and the history of the Contestado into the school. Check out the full programme.
