Welcome to the official website of the Chica Pelega Film Festival, operated by Pupilo (Rudolfo Auffinger Tecnologia da Informação Ltda., CNPJ 39.772.927/0001-85, based in Curitiba/PR, Brazil). By accessing and browsing chicapelega.com.br, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any condition, we ask that you do not use the website.
2. About the website and the festival
The website is cultural, informative and free in nature. On it you will find the festival’s programme (screenings, workshops, exhibitions, livestreams and concerts), the film catalogue, news, screening venues and contact channels. The Chica Pelega Film Festival is dedicated to promoting independent cinema and celebrating social, cultural and identity themes, held with free admission, both in person and online.
3. Access to the films — Pupilo Play
The online screening of the festival’s films takes place on the Pupilo Play streaming platform (play.pupilo.tv.br), also operated by Pupilo:
- To watch the films, you will be directed to Pupilo Play, where you may need to create a free account and log in;
- Use of Pupilo Play is governed by the platform’s own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, available at play.pupilo.tv.br, which complement these Terms;
- In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Pupilo Play documents regarding use of the streaming platform (accounts, video playback, comments, etc.), the Pupilo Play documents prevail;
- The availability of the films is limited to the period of each edition of the festival and to the screening windows authorized by the rights holders, and territorial restrictions may apply.
4. Intellectual property
- The films, trailers, posters, stills and materials of the works screened belong to their respective filmmakers, producers and rights holders, and are made available with authorization, solely in the context of the festival;
- The festival’s visual identity, texts, coverage photographs, logos and other original content of the website belong to Pupilo and/or the Chica Pelega Film Festival, unless otherwise indicated;
- It is forbidden to copy, reproduce, distribute, record, screen-capture, transmit or commercially use any content of the website or of the films without the prior and express authorization of the rights holders;
- Sharing links to the website’s pages and quoting excerpts of journalistic texts with proper attribution of the source is permitted.
5. Proper use of the website
By using the website, you agree to:
- not carry out acts that violate Brazilian law, these Terms or the rights of third parties;
- not attempt to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas, systems or servers related to the website or to Pupilo Play;

6. Film submissions and screening venues
Film submissions, screening venue applications and other calls announced on the website are governed by the specific rules and open calls of each edition, published on the respective pages. In case of divergence, the specific rules of the call prevail. Curation and selection are prerogatives of the festival’s team and its committees; applicants have no automatic right to selection or screening.
7. Third-party content and links
The website may contain embedded videos (for example, from YouTube) and links to social networks and third-party services (Instagram, Facebook, X, WhatsApp). These services have their own terms and policies, and Pupilo is not responsible for their content, practices or availability.
8. Availability and disclaimer

- The programme (dates, times, venues, films and guests) may be changed without prior notice for technical reasons, force majeure or event organization;
- Pupilo is not responsible for damages arising from misuse of the website, temporary unavailability, the user’s connection failures or third-party content.
