The Guarani language does not distinguish culture from ecosystem — it is all the system of life and also a way of teaching. Exploring this idea, the documentary Nhandereko — food and education traveled from the south to the north of Brazil alongside educators of Slow Food Brasil, interacting politically and poetically with realities that connect food, education, and socio-environmental transformation. Traditional and urban-periphery communities, agrarian-reform camps and settlements, restaurants, agroecological farms, food-culture hubs, markets — all seen as educating spaces. Micro-revolutions that take up the food system as a path full of trails to teach in an emancipatory and appealing way, immersed in a continuous, sensory educational process that finds in experience and affection subtle and powerful sources of transformation.
