Living in the quilombola community Invernada dos Negros demands much struggle and resistance, especially to realize its residents’ dreams. Dreams long idealized, dreams their ancestors had and could not fulfill. Over time, new quilombola families formed and arrived in the community, bringing with them the desire to plant, produce, and build their homes, to show that with struggle and much resilience it is possible to achieve their goals. The film was made from the workshop “O minuto que foi,” led by Yasser González as part of the program of the 3rd Chica Pelega Film Festival — quilombola edition.
