The website chicapelega.com.br is the official portal of the Chica Pelega Film Festival, a film festival held since 2021 in the Mid-West of Santa Catarina, Brazil, and operated by Pupilo (Rudolfo Auffinger Tecnologia da Informação Ltda., CNPJ 39.772.927/0001-85, based in Curitiba/PR), hereinafter “Pupilo” or “we”.
This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we collect when you browse this website, how we use it and what your rights are, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13.709/2018) and the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law No. 12.965/2014).
2. Relationship with the Pupilo Play platform
This website promotes the festival’s programme and directs the public to watch the films on the Pupilo Play streaming platform (play.pupilo.tv.br), also operated by Pupilo.
- Registration, login and film playback take place exclusively on Pupilo Play, which has its own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, available on the platform itself.
- When you create an account or log in to Pupilo Play, that platform’s documents apply and complement this Policy.
- The chicapelega.com.br website does not collect passwords or account data: that information is handled directly within the Pupilo Play environment.

a) Data you provide
- Contact form: name, e-mail and the content of the message, used solely to respond to your request (partnerships, press, film submissions, screening venues, School Session, etc.).
- WhatsApp: if you choose to reach us through the WhatsApp button, the conversation takes place in Meta’s app (WhatsApp) and is also subject to that service’s privacy policy.
- Film submissions and screening venues: data provided in the specific forms of each call or open call (name, e-mail, phone, city, information about the work or the screening venue), used only to review and process the application.
b) Data collected automatically
- Browsing data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time of access and referral source, collected through cookies and analytics tools (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, via Site Kit), on an aggregate basis, to understand the use of the website and improve the experience and the festival’s outreach.
c) What we do not collect
On this website we do not intentionally collect sensitive data, payment data or data of children and adolescents. The festival is free and there is no sale of tickets or products through the website.
4. Legal bases and purposes
We process your data on the following grounds under article 7 of the LGPD:
- Consent (art. 7, I): when you submit the contact form or apply to calls and open calls;
- Performance of preliminary procedures or of a contract (art. 7, V): to process film submissions and screening venue applications;
